弟弟喜歡選舉，哥哥一路相伴

在富源的原生家庭中，四個成員裡就有三個領有身心障礙手冊，媽媽和弟弟益弦都是中度智能障礙，爸爸則患有精神障礙，因此自己從小就背負著要照顧一家大小的責任。

富源對待弟弟益弦很暖心，無論益弦喜歡做什麼都會鼓勵他去做，因為觀察到益弦喜歡參與各式各樣的大小宮廟節慶，以及政治人物的競選活動，在徵詢過益弦的同意後，決定帶著他參選里長。

兩代父與子，相處大不同

富源的媽媽六年前因為急性敗血症離世，沒有把握時間陪伴媽媽成了富源心中的痛，為了不留下遺憾，這幾年只要爸爸的身體狀況良好，富源就會爸爸出遊，兩人的獨遊行程幾乎跑遍了竹苗地區，相當盡心的陪伴爸爸。

但富源在對待自己的兒子時態度卻大不同，因為怕兒子長大後會吃苦，因此從從小特別要求他們的成績，甚至還會體罰，使得父子之間的關係常常處在緊繃狀態。

家庭緩衝劑，像朋友的媽媽

媽媽琪懿是家中唯一的女性，經常擔任富源和孩子們之間的緩衝劑。相較於富源高壓的教育方式，琪懿則是選擇和孩子們「當好朋友」，會和孩子們一起去逛街、吃飯等。有時，為了緩解父子僵局，琪懿會趁著接送兒子上下學的時間，在車上和他們談心。
